Pamela Crockett – Head Coach
Pamela Crockett, better known as “Coach Pam” is the dedicated Head Coach of Full Speed Athletics and mentor to many young people in the community. A leader by example, she has assisted each of her three children to the highest level of competition with all three elevating to the Junior Olympics. Jeryne Fish elevated to All-American in the three most competitive sectors of track & field -- AAU, USATF and New Balance Nationals; #7 in the nation in the long jump; #1 in the District of Columbia in the Long Jump and 100M Hurdles; holds the District of Columbia Long Jump Record; broke 9 school records; owns 5 meet and one facility record; four consecutive all-conference selections; two consecutive Washington-Post All-Met selections; and was one the most decorated athlete in her high school’s 115 year history. Jahre Fish is an accomplished jumper who won the national title in the triple jump and earned all-conference recognition in football. Jerlan Fish is an All-American high jumper, long jumper, hurdler and pentathlete.
An experienced athlete herself, Coach Pam, was christened on the track at just 10 years old. A member of an accomplished track family – she is the younger sister of National Record Holder and University of Virginia famed quarter-miler Tracy Crockett; and cousin of University of Kentucky superstar sprinter, Jewel Fuller. Coach Pam worked extremely hard as she did not possess the same natural ability. Her talents crystallized in college where she became a City, State and Regional Champion Scholar/Athlete. Having competed in every race from 55M - 3000M; traveled throughout the country; worked with world class coaches and even once competing against Jamaican Olympian and World Indoor 200M Record Holder, Grace Jackson -- Coach Pam brings a vast breadth of knowledge, experience and talent to FSA. Coach Pam’s philosophy is simple “sports is just the door, the discipline, drive, focus, dedication, determination and sportsmanship – regardless of the outcome -- will take you around the world on the track or field and more importantly beyond!” Pamela’s tenure as a coach with FSA expands her participation to over three decades as an athlete, parent, coach and friend of the sport. Coach Pam is a proud University of Michigan Law School alum (M GO BLUE!).
Raymond Edwards – Coach Ray played all the major sports as a youth. Upon being asked to choose, he selected his first love – baseball. In baseball Coach Ray excelled instantly becoming an All-County shortstop and pitcher an honor he earned consecutively from Sophomore through Senior years in High School. Coach Ray rested on his academic laurels to matriculate to the next level and received the prestigious Jackie Robinson Memorial Scholarship for his leadership and dedication to community service. With his scholarship, he decided to attend Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. before moving to Maryland in 1995. Coach Ray is in his second year as an associate coach and will be coaching short sprints, long jump and relays!
Monique Harte – Coach Harte, A true 400M specialist with a depth of range that allowed her to compete effectively in every event from the 55M to the 5000M! Coach Harte was a New York State Champion in multiple events and still owns the girls state record in the 4x400M relay with Freeport High School. At Freeport, Coach Harte lettered every season in each of the three track disciplines -- indoor/outdoor and cross country. As a collegiate athlete, Coach Harte attended New York Institute of Technology where she continued her onslaught of records competing in the 200M, 400M, 600M, Shot Put, Discus and all sprint relays. Invited to compete in every major New York State track meet including: NYCAC Championships; Empire State Games where she represented Long Island, Coach Harte was likewise a regular at Penn Relays in both High School and College and also competed in the Junior Olympics and tried out for the USA Team. Coach Harte is the Co-Director of High School Track for FSA and will be coaching long and short sprints, 800M, relays, shot put and discus. Coach Harte is also Director for High School Athletics!
Michael King – Coach Mike began his humble track career during his senior in high school. Considered late by most standards, he had faith in his talent and was truly just beginning. Immediately it was evident that he was a talented track athlete competing in sprints and horizontal jumps. Coach Mike continued his collegiate career at Towson University and the rest as they say “is history”. Coach Mike was blessed with an opportunity from Coach Ericker who turned his walk-on status to that of a Full Athletic Scholarship. Coach Mike was an annual IC4A qualifier in the long jump and sprint relays during his tenure at Towson. Coach Mike was awarded Towson Men’s track Student-Athlete honors in ‘94 & ’96. His proudest track accomplishment was winning the Big South conference Long Jump title while just a freshman! Coach Mike went on to win multiple Conference All-American recognition in the 100M, Long Jump, 4x100 and Sprint Medley Relays (both relays broke or tied the school records)! Coach Mike posts a career Long jump personal best of 26’5”. While this is his first year as a coach with FSA, he contributed greatly last season from the sidelines, coaching an 8th grader to an astounding 20’ 7” long jump leap and qualifying him for the Freshman New Balance Nationals. Coach Mike will be coaching short sprints and relays and is the lead Horizontal Jumps Coach for the Program. Coach Mike is the Director of Youth Sports at FSA.
